Lost Strange Things by Tanya Traboulsi


Lebanese-Austrian photographer Tanya Traboulsi is back with a solo exhibition at Art Factum Gallery in Beirut (Qarantina), until April 11. The present series "illustrates the different facets that represent home while simultaneously observing the affiliation to time, space, people and memory". Tanya's new exhibition os accompanied by a monograph published by Triton.

"Etre" de lumière, by Rita Saadé


Starting April 4, Beirut's French Institute (ex-CCF, Damascus Street) will host the first solo exhibition of the Lebanese photographer Rita SaadéLast January, she was awarded the second prize in the framework of the PhotoMed Festival.
In "Etre" de lumière, she will present four different beautiful B&W series (Someone is out there, Etre de lumière, Home and A la recherche d'une enfance perdue). See you there!

Beirut Prints @ Al Souk (London)


Beirut Prints is happy to export its fine art photo collection! Starting November 14, some of our limited edition photographs will be available in London in the framework of Al Souk - the best of Arab design & art. The very first edition of this event will take place at the Graffik Gallery in Notting Hill (until November 21), and then at  the famous Tabernacle from November 25 to December 1. We are proud that Mazen Jannoun's Angel nº5 was chosen for the official poster.

Al Souk (which is part of the major Nour Festival of Arts) will also host products designers, editors, fashion designers. David Hury and Mazen Jannoun – part of Beirut Prints collective – will attend to the opening next week.

Rudy Bou Chebel @ Les Rencontres Photographiques du 10e (Paris)


Beirut Prints' photographer Rudy Bou Chebel will exhibit his work in the frame of the Rencontres photographiques du 10e in Paris.
Rudy's show – titled "In the streets of Beirut" – will take place at Kann Design, an emerging design gallery. It currently shows the work of a French photographer, Bernard Jouvin.

Melkan Bassil @ Embrace Art Exhibition


Beirut Prints' photographer Melkan Bassil is part of the Embrace Art Exhibition with his Urban Totem. This collective show curated by Ara Azad is the tip of the iceberg of a major campaign about mental health in Lebanon leaded by the Embrace Fund. Nineteen artists were asked to produce a piece or two about this issue, such as photographers Rita Saadé, George Zouein and Gilbert Hage. Please take a look to this 360-degrees virtual tour.

Tanya Traboulsi @ Potpourri 001

Back to work! Tanya Traboulsi will be part of the upcoming Art Factum exhibition, starting September 18. Potpourri 001 is the annual group show organized by Art Factum Gallery (Qarantina area). Seven other artists will be represented. Among them, French photographer Mustapha Azeroual who showed a magnificent work about trees at AFG in 2012.

Tania Shoukair @ The Running Horse


Beirut Prints' photographer Tania Shoukair will be hosted by the Running Horse Contemporary Art Space in Beirut, in the frame of The Pony project. For her very first exhibition, Tania will show some of her mixed media artwork from her Panic series (check below).

Melkan Bassil's exhibition @ Khan el-Franj (Saida)

The guy is quite active these days! Just after releasing his new book "Visit Byblos", Melkan Bassil makes the headlines again. In the frame of the Francophony Month, Saida's French Institute hosts an exhibition of Melkan's previous works: "Bienvenue en Libania" et "Au cœur de nos forêts".

Melkan will attend to the official opening, next Thursday (March 14) at 5.30pm. The event will take place at the beautiful Khan el-Franj.
