Role: Arabic editor & Arabic font designer
I met Celine last November in London. We were both part of a design exhibition at the Graffik Gallery. I did not know her but when I discovered her work, I was charmed. By the refinement of Scene Beirut's designs, and by her brand's manifesto. Back to Beirut a few weeks later, I was pleased to buy a couple of pouffes from her collection. Finally, last spring, I asked her to pick sentences from songs or books in Arabic and to create a font specially for "The Beirut Book". And she did an amazing job. That’s a fact.
A short message to Londoners around here, and Lebanese living in London, and extraterrestrials hiding in London too. After a first week at the Graffik Gallery, Al Souk moved to the famous Tabernacle last Monday. The exhibition – held in the framework of the major Nour Festival – will end next Sunday. So you know what you have to do this week-end!
Beirut Prints is proud to showcase there some of its photographic production. You will also discover some Middle Eastern designers or artists such as Scene Beirut by Céline Khairallah, Azade by Céline Der Torossian, White sur white by Cyrille Najjar or Majnouna by Joumana Medlej (among others!).
