Tanya, Lara, Ghadi & Mazen @ PhotoMed 2013 (France)
As Lebanon will be the guest country of the upcoming edition of the PhotoMed Festival (South of France), curator Tony el-Hage selected 7 photographers working in Beirut: Tanya Traboulsi, Lara Zankoul, Ghadi Smat and Mazen Jannoun, parts of the Beirut Prints collective, in addition to Caroline Tabet, Joanna Andraos and Emile Issa. The event is co-organized by Serge Akl and the Tourism Office of Lebanon in Paris.

Book signing by Mazen Jannoun (Italy)
Between 2003 and 2008, Mazen contributed significantly to the American University of Beirut for the archival, promotional and editorial photography requirement. His photo-reportage on the Lebanese coastline was published by Tamyras one year ago.
Now based between Lebanon and Italy, Mazen is continuing through the medium of photography for highlighting environmental and social problems for a better chance of improvement. "Watercolor" shows the north and south of Lebanon under the theme that everyone shares the same dreams and hopes.
He will sign his book at the Primo Moroni bookstore in Pescara on February 21 at 6pm.

Part of Beirut Prints, Lebanese photographer Melkan Bassil just launched his new project, "Visit Byblos", an interactive book about Jbeil. More than 150 photographs, 35 interactive 360 degrees pictures (with a QR code to scan), 1 video, 22 villages to visit... Melkan invites you to discover Byblos as you've never seen it.
